Gujarat man came to fulfill his wife's last wish, lost his life in the Ahmedabad plane crash; two daughters became orphans
A man named Arjun Patolia died tragically in a plane crash in Ahmedabad. He was returning to London after fulfilling his wife's last wish and immersing her ashes in his native village. Air India flight 171 crashed in Meghani Nagar soon after takeoff.

A man from Ahmedabad was to live in London with his family. A few days earlier, his wife had passed away, and in her last wishes, she had exclaimed that she wanted to be immersed in the pond of her birth village. To complete this final desire, the man left his daughters in London and flew back to India.
But maybe he never dreamt that this trip to India would be the last one in his life. The plane crash in Ahmedabad took many lives. Out of the people on board the plane, only 1 survives, and all the others died tragically. Arjun Patolia was also on board the same plane.
Arjun Patolia lived in London with his wife Bharti and two daughters aged 8 and 4 years. His ancestral home is in Wadia village of Amreli district of Gujarat. His wife Bharti had died a few days ago. Bharti's last wish was that her ashes be immersed in a pond in Wadia.
Arjun had come to Gujarat from London only to fulfill his wife's last wish. His daughters were in London. After immersing his wife's ashes, Arjun boarded an Air India plane to go back to London. He died in the accident.
Air India flight 171 took off from Ahmedabad to London's Gatwick Airport. But shortly after takeoff, the lift of the plane started to end, and it crashed in Meghani Nagar, located near the airport.
