The Federation of Indian Pilots said on Friday that it will file a contempt petition against the aviation regulator DGCA for not fully implementing the new flight duty time limit norms approved by the Delhi High Court earlier this year.

The move is proposed in the backdrop of the DGCA granting certain relaxations to the FDTL framework, such as permission for more night landings and duty time extensions, among others, for two-pilot Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft operations. In a statement on Friday, FIP President CS Randhawa said the federation will file a contempt petition against the DGCA for not fully implementing the new FDTL norms.
