In October last year itself, Ashish Mishra, son of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, was accused of crushing farmers.

Targeting the Union Minister of State for Home, Rakesh Tikait in his address said, "The whole country knows very well about the Tikunia violence and it was also known to all who were the instigators of the violence." Terming Ajay Kumar Mishra as an accused under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code, Tikait said, "It is ironic that the minister is still holding his post. Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) deals with criminal conspiracy to commit an offense. Tikait said that even after 75 hours long dharna, farmers should be ready for a big agitation to fulfill their demands. Tikait said that apart from sacking Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra, many other issues include the release of innocent farmers in jail, the MSP guarantee law, withdrawal of Electricity Amendment Bill 2022, payment of sugarcane arrears, and land rights of the government were among many other issues of farmers. are in front. He asserted that the issue of Ajay Kumar Mishra will remain at the top during the farmers' agitation, be it in Karnataka, UP, or any other part of the country.
