ChatGPT Plus: This project is not limited to building big data centers, but its aim is to make AI accessible to the common people by customizing it according to local languages, rules and needs. This will ensure data security, compliance with local rules and equitable use of AI.

For the first time in the world, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is announcing free subscription of ChatGPT Plus to its residents. It is a move that is part of one of the biggest collaborations between the UAE government and OpenAI, under which a massive AI data center, Stargate UAE, is to be constructed in Abu Dhabi.
Together under this project, partners and OpenAI are collaboratively developing a one-gigawatt AI computing cluster, the first half of which, approximately 200 megawatts, will come online in a year's time.
All of this work falls under the "OpenAI for Countries" initiative of OpenAI to assist various nations in building their own AI systems and tools based on local requirements. The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, has termed it "a bold vision" that will take a giant leap towards making AI more closer to the needs of people in healthcare, education and clean energy.
This partnership also includes Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco, SoftBank and Middle East AI company G42, which is backed by Microsoft. All of them aim to make the UAE a major hub of AI in the Middle East region.
The most important thing about this agreement is that every person living in the UAE will now be able to use OpenAI's most advanced tools free of charge. Through ChatGPT Plus, people will be able to take help of AI in many things like writing, studying, coding, planning.
This project is not limited to building only big data centers, but its aim is to make AI accessible to the common people by customizing AI according to local languages, rules and needs. This will ensure data security, compliance with local rules and equitable use of AI.
