Apple will launch AirPods with an inbuilt camera, smart glasses will be out of stock
AirPods: Such AirPods, which will have an in-built infrared (IR) camera. This camera will be able to detect the environment, understand gestures, and recognize hand movements. This will give the user the experience of in-air gesture control, i.e., AirPods can be controlled without touching.
Apple is in no frame of mind to introduce any significant upgrades to its lineup of AirPods. Apple won't introduce any 'major' changes to AirPods till 2026, says analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, but the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature came to the standard model for the first time in the 2024-launched AirPods 4, and nothing similar to that major new feature is going to be included this year.
Apple is planning to introduce a new product in 2026, i.e., a year from now. These AirPods will come with an in-built infrared (IR) camera. This built-in camera will be capable of scanning the surroundings, interpreting gestures, and identifying hand movement. This will provide the user with an experience of in-air gesture control, i.e., without touching AirPods, they can be controlled.
Earlier, there were reports that Apple is working on AirPods and Apple Watch with a camera, which will provide functions like smart glasses. There is also an update regarding Apple's high-end headphones, AirPods Max. According to the report, the company is preparing a lighter version, which can be brought into mass production by 2027.
