A Smartphone With a Detachable Camera? Ulefone’s New Device Could Change Photography
MWC 2026: The smartphone industry could receive a major surprise at MWC 2026. Ulefone is set to introduce its RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro, which could be the world's first phone with a detachable camera. Its camera can be detached from the phone and used as an action camera.
Tech company Ulefone has teased its upcoming smartphone, the Ulefone RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro. It is likely to be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026) event in Barcelona, which will begin on March 2. According to the company's press release, this will be the world's first smartphone with a camera that can be detached from the phone's body.
There are already many powerful camera smartphones available in the market, but this is the first time that the camera can be removed and used as an action camera.
The highlight of the smartphone is that its camera can be removed using a magnet. Ulefone has not yet confirmed whether it is the primary or secondary camera, but it will be a thumb-sized camera that can be removed easily from the smartphone.
