MG Comet EV has come to the Indian market as the cheapest electric car offered by MG Motor. The company has unveiled the model year 2025 of the car on 19 March 2025. Many new features have been added to it. Because of this, the car will be even more drivable.
New features have been added in the new version of the 2025 MG Comet EV, according to the information released by MG. Some of those are rear parking cam, power foldable ORVM, premium leatherette seats, audio system with four speakers. Apart from those, ESC, EPB, front and rear disc brakes, and creep mode are also featured in the car.
In MG Comet EV, the company provides a battery with the capacity of 17.4 kWh. While charging the battery, the car has a range up to 230 km available on the go. The new model also has a fast charging system, making it quite easy to charge the car. The motor installed in it provides it with power of 42 PS and torque of 110 Newton meter.
The ex-showroom price of the 2025 version of MG Comet EV starts at Rs 4.99 lakh. At this price, the car can be purchased with BaaS for which Rs 2.5 will have to be paid per kilometer. Apart from this, the car is offered in variants like Excite, Excite FC, Exclusive, Exclusive FC and Blackstorm Edition. The ex-showroom price of these variants starts at Rs 4.99 lakh and its top variant is being made available for sale at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.80 lakh.
MG Comet EV is offered as the cheapest electric car in the country. It competes directly with Tata Tiago EV in the market. At the same time, in terms of price, it also gets challenged by many ICE powered sub four metre SUVs and compact sedan cars.
