It has not been more than three months since the launch of the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, and now it is receiving a discount of lakhs of rupees. Tiguan R-Line was launched in April 2025 in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price of Rs 49 lakh; now its ex-showroom price is Rs 46 lakh. Cash discount, exchange bonus, and corporate discount are being offered by the company on its bookings. All three of them are being given a discount of a maximum of Rs 3 lakh on the Tiguan R-Line.

It uses a 2.0-litre, TSI petrol engine. These engines deliver 201 bhp power and 320 Nm torque. It comes with a seven-speed DSG, 4-motion AWD gearbox. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just seven seconds. However, its appeal has been limited in a segment dominated by diesel-powered and seven-seater rivals. Along with this, sales of the Tiguan R-Line have also been very slow.

It is available with numerous top-of-the-line features. It is available with a 2.9-inch touchscreen, 10.3-inch digital cockpit, matrix LED headlamps, ambient lighting, and Level 2 ADAS suite with 21 assist functions. It also receives nine airbags, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated massage seats.

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line has been brought to India as a CBU (completely built unit), which is why it is priced much higher than other cars in its segment. However, its hot hatch sibling, the Golf GTI, which is priced at Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom), has already sold out its first shipment.
