There is no end to Bengal's ongoing violence regarding the Waqf Act. In the latest example, Indian Secular Front (ISF) supporters have clashed with the police. During this, there was sheer pandemonium. Several people have been injured in the clashes according to reports and many police vehicles have been torched. This was all done in Bengal's South 24 Parganas. This occurred when the police attempted to stop ISF supporters from reaching the party leader and Bhangar MLA Naushad Siddiqui's rally. Naushad Siddiqui's rally was organized at Kolkata's Ramlila Maidan. Police state that there was no permission from the police for this rally.

Police said that ISF supporters going to Kolkata to attend the rally were stopped near Bhojerhat on Basanti Highway in South 24 Parganas. A large number of ISF supporters from Meenakhan and Sandeshkhali were also gathered here. When stopped by the police, the crowd tried to break the barricade, which increased the tension. After this violence started. A senior police officer said that the protesters set some police vehicles on fire. During this, several policemen were injured. Police lathicharged to disperse the protesters, in which an ISF supporter suffered a head injury. After this, ISF supporters sat on a dharna on the highway, causing traffic jam on the highway. In view of the situation, a large number of police forces were deployed and high alert was issued in the surrounding areas. Later the protesters were dispersed.

While addressing the gathering in Kolkata, Naushad Siddiqui criticized the Waqf Amendment Act and demanded its withdrawal. He said that 'This law is not just an attack on Muslims, it is an attack on the Constitution. We will not accept this Act. The government that supports such laws must go.' The ISF accused the BJP of inciting communal tension and the ruling Trinamool Congress of suppressing the opposition's protest. Violence broke out in parts of Murshidabad, including Suti, Dhuliyan and Jangipur, during protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act on Friday and Saturday. At least three people were killed and many others injured in the violence.
