Hyderabad, July 31 — Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday proposed the establishment of a research centre at the Young India Skill University to foster innovation and called for a dedicated department to teach languages such as German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian.

At a review meeting of the Skill, Human Capital and Knowledge Training Initiatives (SHAKTI) Department, the Chief Minister directed that instructors from the respective countries, along with local experts proficient in these languages, be engaged to conduct the training.

He also instructed officials to examine the feasibility of providing scholarships to those undergoing training for blue-collar jobs, on lines similar to the overseas scholarships offered to students pursuing higher education.
