Kiren Rijiju Takes Dig at Rahul Gandhi Over Prayagraj Event, Says ‘Should Have Gone to Ranchi’
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju took a dig at Rahul Gandhi's "Chhatron Ki Goonj" event in Prayagraj, saying he should have gone to Ranchi.
On Saturday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju taunted Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, regarding his “Chhatron Ki Goonj” event held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Kiren Rijiju pointed out that Rahul Gandhi could have visited Ranchi, where students are protesting over irregularity in entrance tests. In a post on X, Rijiju said, "Rahul Gandhi should have gone to Ranchi instead of Prayagraj."
This comment came after Rahul Gandhi targeted the government during his speech at the event. He criticized the government on issues such as a lack of jobs, expensive education, paper leaks, poor access to credit, and the increasing use of artificial intelligence, saying these are holding back India's youth.
Rahul said, "You're told to watch as many Reels as you want, send as many WhatsApp messages as you want, and browse or create content on Instagram. This is a 21st-century addiction, and then you're told to work for BlinkIt or Uber, or do physical labor. You can indulge in this 21st-century addiction, but you can't get a job; you can't find employment in this country."
