T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in the West Indies and United States of America (USA) immediately after the Indian Premier League (IPL). The shadow of a terrorist attack is looming over this mega tournament to be played between June 1 and 29. According to reports, the West Indies has received a threat of terrorist attacks. This threat has been given by a terrorist organization in Northern Pakistan.

This threat from North Pakistan has put people in a tough situation. In fact, the Afghanistan-Pakistan branch of the terrorist organization Islamic State i.e. IS-Khorasan has threatened to target major events around the world. Which also includes the T20 World Cup. However, immediately after this threat, Cricket West Indies (CWI) started making tight security arrangements.

Cricket West Indies CEO Jonny Graves has completely dismissed security concerns amid the threat of a terrorist attack. Graves said, 'We are working closely with the authorities of the host country and cities and are looking at things and moving forward as part of a complete strategy to deal with any threat. We would like to assure all partners that the safety of everyone involved in the T20 World Cup is our top priority. We have a comprehensive and robust security plan.

According to media reports, the regional security officers of Barbados are continuously monitoring the situation after the warning of attack during the ICC T20 World Cup. According to the report, this threat has been received from Nashir Pakistan Media Group of Pro-Islamic State.

9 cities in America and the West Indies will host T20 World Cup matches. All three knockout rounds will be played over the course of six West Indies cities, totaling forty-one matches. On the other hand, America's New York, Florida, and Dallas will host the final 14 matches. Trinidad, Guyana, Barbados, Antigua, St. Vincent, and St. Lucia are the six cities that make up the West Indies.
