Google Doodle: Through its doodle today, Google has celebrated the historical and strategic game of chess, which is played on a board with 64 black and white squares. This game of chess started in India in the sixth century and is famous for its complex moves and rich history.
Today, i.e. from 25 November, the World Chess Championship 2024 is starting which will run till 15 December 2024. On this special occasion, Google has also created a great doodle. Through its doodle today, Google has celebrated the historical and strategic game of chess, which is played on a board with 64 black and white squares.
This is an Indian chess game from the sixth century, famous for its complicated moves and eventful history. Its rules largely developed in the 15th century after which the first international competition took place in 1851. Since then, chess has taken more new leaps, and with new additions like speed chess and time match, this classic game has gotten even more exciting.
Now, this is a special celebration, as this coming November and December, the World Chess Championship will be organized here in Singapore. There will be 14 classical games where a single game can take greater than four hours. The player who takes a lead of 7.5 points shall win. If the score turns out to be a draw, then the winner will be cleared through fast rapid, and blitz games. In these exciting matches, each of them would have to make his moves in only three minutes.
