WPL 2025: Chinelle Henry replaces Alyssa Healy in UP Warriors, two players also included in RCB
WPL 2025: Chinelle Henry is a West Indies middle-order batsman and a useful fast bowler. She has never been a part of the WPL.
UP Warriors have signed West Indies batter Chinelle Henry as a cover for Alyssa Healy for WPL 2025. Australia and UP Warrior captain Alyssa Healy developed a stress injury in her right leg and will miss out on the tournament.
At the same time, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have signed Heather Graham and Kim Garth in place of Sophie Devine and Kate Cross respectively. Sophie Devine is out of cricket for a break at the same time period. Meanwhile, Kate Cross could not yet regain fitness for December 2024 sustained a back injury. All three of them have an auction price of Rs 30 lakh.
Alyssa Healy could not make an appearance in the Women's Ashes' T20 part due to a leg issue. She played in this match only as a batter, with Beth Mooney assuming wicketkeeping duties. She, in a post-match press conference, added that she will not make an appearance in WPL.
