MUMBAI — Prominent television actor Shweta Tiwari raised sharp public concerns over food safety and quick-commerce hygiene protocols on Thursday after allegedly discovering a live cockroach inside a package delivered to her home.
Documenting the incident on social media, the Kasautii Zindagii Kay star posted video footage showing a small cockroach scurrying across her living space shortly after receiving a beverage delivery. In the video clip shared with her millions of followers, Tiwari tagged both the delivery platform and Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Munde, urging regulatory authorities to step in.
"And along with that, a cockroach came too. Look at this, the cockroach is running all over the house," Tiwari said in Hindi while pointing her camera at the pest. "So, should we tag Mr. Tukaram Munde? Munde-ji, cockroaches have now started entering our homes. Where are you? Please look into this."
