Redmi Turbo 5 Max to Support 100W Fast Charging and 27W Reverse Charging

Xiaomi is launching the Redmi Turbo 5 series in China on January 29th, which includes the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. These will be the first phones to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500S processor. They will feature a large 9000mAh battery and 100W fast charging. The company will also introduce the Redmi Buds 8 Pro, which will feature dual drivers and 55dB noise cancellation.

Xiaomi has been teasing its Turbo series for a while, and now the company has officially confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 series will launch in China on January 29th. This series will include the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which will be the first smartphones to feature the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500S processor. This phone will not only have a large battery, but it will also support 100W fast charging. 

The company says that the Turbo 5 Max will be Xiaomi's first phone to feature a large 9000mAh battery. It will also support 100W fast charging (PPS support) and 27W reverse wired charging. Xiaomi smartphone head Lu Weibing has claimed that the Turbo 5 Max will prove to be the best option in the 2.5,000 yuan price range in 2026. The device's 9000mAh battery can compete with phones with 10,000mAh batteries.

Regarding the device's design, the phone is expected to feature ultra-narrow bezels. It may also feature large rounded corners, a CNC metal frame, and a flagship fiberglass rear finish. Apart from this, the device can also have a metal racetrack-shaped deco, a double-ring turbine light strip, and a new Sea Breeze Blue color option. This new Redmi device can be equipped with the Dimensity 9500s chipset.

Xiaomi can also launch its new buds during the same launch event, which can be introduced in the name of REDMI Buds 8 Pro. These buds can be seen having dual 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers and 11mm titanium-plated dynamic drivers, Xiaomi's MIHC codec, LHDC-V5, and Hi-Res wireless audio support. Apart from this, 55dB ultra-wideband Noise Cancellation and Adaptive Noise Cancellation support can also be found in the buds.
