RCB vs CSK: Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad's pain after being out of IPL 2024, told the reason for losing

On the night of Saturday, the Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated the Chennai Super Kings by a score of 27 runs. CSK is out of the IPL 2024 after this loss, ending their journey. This season, Ruturaj Gaikwad led the CSK squad as captain. After Dhoni, he would have been the second captain to accomplish this goal if he had been able to lead CSK to the playoffs. After being eliminated from the IPL 2024, Gaikwad discussed candidly the reasons behind the team's defeat.

Rituraj Gaikwad said that, to be honest, Hyderabad's wicket was good, the ball was spinning and was also making a little grip. A score of 200 could have been achieved on this wicket, but we kept losing wickets at regular intervals, it was a matter of one or two hits, sometimes this happens in T20. Talking about the season, I am happy to win 7 out of 14 matches.

Rituraj also said that the way the players suffered injuries. We were missing two top bowlers and one top-order batsman, Conway. In this way, the absence of three key players made a big difference. There were many challenges for us during the first match. Mustafizur Rahman got injured, and then Pathirana also got injured, he made a comeback and then was out.

He further said that we had to make changes in the playing eleven keeping in mind the injuries and illnesses of the players. Still could not cross the limit of victory. Individual milestones don't matter to me, ultimately the ultimate goal is to win. It doesn't matter if you score 500-600 runs in a season. I am disappointed after losing.
