On Tuesday, Pakistan won in the second ODI against Zimbabwe by 10 wickets played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. After winning the toss and batting first, Zimbabwe's entire team collapsed for 145 runs in 32.3 overs. In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 18.2 overs.
Pakistan scored 148 runs without any loss in 18.2 overs. With this win, Pakistan has tied the three-match ODI series 1-1. Pakistan had to face defeat by 80 runs against Zimbabwe in the first ODI under Duckworth Lewis's rule. Now the third ODI match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on 28 November in Bulawayo.
The Pakistan team came out to chase the target of 146 runs from Zimbabwe. There was an extraordinary start to it. The opening pair of Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq gave their team not only a great start but gave their team victory over 148 runs in 18.2 overs without losing any wickets. From the Pakistan side, Siam Ayub scored a brilliant century. He came back unbeaten after scoring 113 runs with the help of 17 fours and 3 skyscraper sixes while facing just 62 balls. This is Saim Ayub's first century in the ODI. At the same time, Abdullah Shafiq remained unbeaten after scoring 32 runs with 4 fours in 48 balls.
The Zimbabwe team, which came out to bat first after winning the toss, had a bad start. The remaining work was done by wickets falling at regular intervals. Dion Meyers scored the highest 33 runs for Zimbabwe, while Sean Williams contributed 31, Sikandar Raza 17, Captain Craig Ervine 18, and Brian Bennett 14 runs. The remaining Zimbabwean players could not even touch the double-digit mark.
Pakistan's leg spinner Abrar Ahmed was the most successful bowler in the match. He took 4 wickets for 33 runs in 8 overs, which included two maiden overs. Salman Agha took 3 wickets for 26 runs in 7 overs, while Saim Ayub and Faisal Akram took 1 wicket each.
