Vande Bharat Express: These 10 routes will get the gift of Vande Bharat Express today, six routes will be expanded

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday flagged off 10 new Vande Bharat Express. At present Indian Railways operates 41 Vande Bharat Express services. It connects the states with a broad gauge electrified network, which is spread across 24 states and 256 districts.

On six routes—Delhi-Katra, Delhi-Varanasi, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mysuru-Chennai, Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram, and Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad—two Vande Bharat trains will operate. Across several states, the electrified broad gauge network serves as the primary route for Vande Bharat trains. Six more Vande Bharat trains were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December of last year. This also applied to the second train that ran between Delhi and Katra.

Additional routes are from Ayodhya to Delhi, Jalna to Mumbai, Mangalore to Madgaon, Coimbatore to Bengaluru, and Amritsar to Delhi. In December 2023, the second train that runs between Delhi and Varanasi was also inaugurated. Delhi has the most Vande Bharat trains—ten—when compared to other states. Delhi is connected to other states by it. In addition to Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai have five and six Vande Bharat trains, respectively. The second Vande Bharat train for Mysuru is scheduled to be launched on Tuesday.
