This is indeed great news for India as the three oil tankers flying the Indian flag namely Desh Vaibhav, Desh Vibhor, and Sanmar Herald passed through the Strait of Hormuz safely and are on their way back to India.

These vessels are carrying more than 860,000 metric tonnes of crude oil while also having 94 Indians onboard as their crew.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced on X that the oil tankers have successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz and are on their way back to India.
