Recently, the Telecom Department of the Government of India has launched a mobile app for the "Sanchar Sathi" portal, which is available for both Android and iPhone users. Through this app, users can not only complain about fake calls but can also detect fake SIM cards registered in their name.
Apart from this, telecom companies have been instructed to adopt AI (Artificial Intelligence) based spam detection technology. Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea (Vi) have already implemented AI-powered spam call systems, saving millions of users from fraudulent calls. This technology is capable of blocking fake calls at the operator level itself.
