Marshall Bromley 450 launched: Party speaker with lights, mic & instrument support

Marshall has introduced the Bromley 450 as part of its party speakers range in India. The device is a portable Bluetooth speaker that can be used both indoors and outdoors. The device is compact compared to the other model, the Bromley 750. The device comes with 360-degree sound and lights. It also comes with slots to connect a microphone and a musical instrument. The device is reportedly targeted at those who want to use a portable speaker for parties.

The Marshall Bromley 450 is listed on the Marshall India website in black and brass finishes for ₹74,999. The company has announced this speaker as part of its growing lineup of party speakers, and it is expected to be available in the country soon.

The Marshall Bromley 450 offers 360-degree stereo sound and features two 6.5-inch 40W woofers, four 2-inch 6W full-range drivers, and two passive radiators. This system is powered by two 90W Class D amplifiers for the woofers and four 55W Class D amplifiers for the full-range drivers. Its frequency response range is 40Hz to 20,000Hz, and it can produce sound pressure levels of up to 100dB at a distance of one meter. The speaker supports stereo output and has an equalizer for sound adjustment.

For connectivity, the Marshall Bromley 450 speaker supports Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast and offers a wireless range of over 70m in open spaces. Supported codecs include SBC, AAC, and LC3. Wired connectivity options include an AUX input and output, USB-C, an RCA port, and two XLR/6.35mm combo jacks for microphone and instrument inputs. It also supports Bluetooth multipoint connectivity and can be managed via the Marshall Bluetooth app.

The Marshall Bromley 450 features a rechargeable, replaceable LFP battery that is claimed to deliver over 40 hours of playback on a single charge. It supports quick charging. The company claims that 20 minutes of charging provides up to six hours of playback, while a full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours. The speaker supports 120W power input and includes a battery replacement option.

In terms of design, the Bromley 450 speaker features Marshall's signature styling, including a metal grille, tactile controls, and integrated stage lights with three preset modes. It's IP55 rated for dust and water resistance and features a built-in handle and strap anchors for easy transportation. The unit has been designed with durability in mind, and recycled materials have been used in its construction. The speaker measures 366x261x492mm and weighs 12.32kg.
