Banglore (Karnataka) [India], April 19: A couple from Bangalore has found a unique way to combine their love of weddings and their passion for charitable causes. Sathiyanarayanan and Bhuvaneshwari, co-founders of Raj Square Charity Foundation, have started organizing marriages as part of community development for the last 10 years.
The idea came to them after they got married themselves, and they were overwhelmed by the generosity of their friends and family. “We realised that we could use our love of weddings to give back to our community and help those in need,” Sathiyanarayanan said.
Dr Mithileysh, a scientist, son of the couple, set up a charity foundation informally in 2010 to support a lot of young children; later, the charity foundation was officially registered in 2020. In fond loving memory of their aunt, Smt Selvi, the couple started Selvi Matrimonial Support (SMS) to connect couples and started guiding them on how to lead a happy married life. The couple supports various families in organising the marriage, from simple ceremonies to elaborate weddings and work with couples and their family members to customise their special day.
