Tadiran Telecom, the integrated communications company of Israel is planning to make IP telephones in India. Wherein, the company will invest at least 10 million US dollars (about Rs 80 crore) annually. The company has partnered with Indian company DCM Shriram to make IP phones under Make in India.

He announced this during a program organized to declare the manufacture of IP phones in India by CEO Mitz of Tadiran Telecom. While expanding the production in the second phase, the company, which is expected to invest more every year, said it would also include software development. He further said that we plan to manufacture 1,00,000 IP telephones every year in India though this number of IP phones to be manufactured is still low. We will increase the investment based on performance. We have currently allocated US $ 10 million annually for our IP phone manufacturing project. IP telephone apps are used for many communication purposes including conference calls and are commonly used in business organizations. Tadiran has been operating in India via channel partners for the past 26 years.

Mitz said that 70 percent of the company's business is from software and 30 percent from hardware. He said that Tadiran will make category 2 equipment. This is a category that is eligible for government procurement with immediate effect. Mitz said that manufacturing in India is the first phase of our expansion plan. If we succeed in meeting the manufacturing targets, we will start our second phase of expansion in India for software development. He said that Tadiran Telecom is already in discussions with an Indian software giant for cooperation. Speaking about the partnership with Tadiran, DCM Shriram Chairman Rudra Shriram said that this is the first time the group will manufacture any electronics product. Shriram said Tadiran Telecom has the technology. We are creating a dedicated team to manufacture their products. Apart from manufacturing, our group will help Tadiran Telecom in all the supply chain including warehousing, logistics, etc.
