Galaxy Unpacked: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra launched with 200-megapixel camera, waterproof

At an Unpacked event in Galaxy, Samsung launched three new smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. This is going to be the biggest and first event by Samsung this year. The Galaxy S25 series phone will contain a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Besides that, all the phones are going to arrive with as much as 1 TB of storage paired with 12 GB of RAM. An ultra-wide camera-50-megapixel-will, like iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro be able to shoot video. The new Google assistant of artificial intelligence will work with applications, such as Samsung Notes or YouTube on Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at Rs 1,29,999 in India. At this price, 256 GB storage will come with 12 GB RAM while 512 GB storage with 12 GB RAM will cost Rs 1,41,9999 and 1 TB storage with 12 GB RAM will cost Rs 1,65,999.

Galaxy S25 Ultra can be purchased in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Silverblue and Titanium Whitesilver color options. Apart from this, this phone will also be available in exclusive color options like Titanium Jadegreen, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Pinkgold on Samsung's website.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with dual-SIM support runs on One UI 7 interface based on Android 15. The device supports Galaxy AI features and is promised to get Android OS and security updates for 7 years. It uses a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, which comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of inbuilt storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 6.9-inch (1,400x3,120 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It comes with a variable refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The screen has been given Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protection. Slightly rounded corners have been added to its design, which makes it different from its earlier model.

This involves the 200MP primary camera in the phone featuring 2x in-sensor zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS), and an aperture size of f/1.7. The 50MP ultra-wide camera features a wide-angle of view with up to 120 degrees alongside an f/1.9 aperture, while the other cameras offer 50MP telephoto capability with 5x optical zoom, besides OIS; the fourth offers 10MP telephoto coupled with 3x optical zoom with the same OIS. On the front side, there is a 12-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2.

It features 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, UWB, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also features Samsung's S Pen stylus. Besides this, it has an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. Galaxy S25 Ultra offers a 5000 mAh battery and will include, for those purchasing, a choice of either USB-C or Wireless - compatible with both 45 W fast charging as well as Fast Wireless 2.0 (up to 15W), and with reverse wireless (PowerShare).
