Kawasaki has introduced the updated version of the Ninja 500 in the Indian market for less than Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The only change in the new updated 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is the new color scheme. Now it is available only in Metallic Carbon Gray color.
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 uses a larger 451 cc displacement, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The Ninja 500 has a larger stroke of 58.6 mm compared to the 51.8 mm stroke of the 399 cc engine found in the Ninja 400, while the bore remains the same at 70 mm. The larger stroke allows the motor to produce more torque at 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Which is 37 Nm more at 8,000 rpm. Power output remains the same at 45 bhp and peaks at 9,000 rpm instead of 10,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch.
The bike now gets an LCD digital instrument console with connectivity for smartphones. With this, this display can feature notifications, riding logs, and also community features among others. Other features include Kawasaki Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System (KIPASS), Type-C charging port, etc.
The new Kawasaki Ninja 500 gets a trellis frame. In which telescopic forks are available at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking performance, it gets a 310 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc that has a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. The seat height of the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is 785 mm. The Kawasaki Ninja 500 will compete with bikes like Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha YZF-R3, and KTM RC 390 in this segment.
