Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan sustained multiple injuries during an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence in Mumbai early Thursday morning. The incident, which occurred at around 2:15 a.m., left the actor with six stab wounds, two of which are reported to be dangerously close to his spine. He is currently undergoing surgery at Lilavati Hospital.

According to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, Saif was brought to the hospital at 3:30 a.m. following the attack. “His injuries are significant, with one wound near the spine. A team of specialists, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi, is attending to him,” Dr. Uttamani said.

The intruder allegedly broke into the actor's residence in the middle of the night, attacking the house staff before confronting Saif. Despite being unarmed, the actor fought back in an attempt to protect his family, which includes his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two children, Taimur and Jeh.
