Hyundai has announced that it will introduce more than 18 hybrids by 2030. The 18 models also comprise the luxury brand Genesis. The company will also introduce the Hyundai Palisade hybrid with upgraded TMED-II technology for better mileage. Special arrangements are also being made for the Indian market. The company will roll out the nation's first electric car designed specifically for local drivers. It will be extremely affordable and convenient. The company is charting a global strategy for hybrids, EVs, luxury vehicles, and pickups, including better batteries, futuristic looks, new software, and local production.

Hyundai is also working on extended-range EVs (EREVs). This could lead to vehicles with a driving range of up to 960 km on a single charge. These vehicles will feature small and affordable batteries to eliminate range anxiety. Hyundai will also expand its high-performance N lineup, with the IONIQ 6 N planned to feature advanced driving modes.

Talking about the technology part, Hyundai is focusing heavily on software-defined vehicles (SDVs), robotics-powered factories, AI for voice and autonomous driving, and a new Pleos infotainment system with an app store and personalization. Battery innovations will reduce costs by 30%, and advanced fire-prevention systems will improve safety.

Hyundai's luxury brand, Genesis, is also targeting to get 350,000 annual sales by 2030, entering motorsport with the Genesis Magma Racing in 2026. Its strategic partnerships with Waymo, GM, and Amazon Autos will offer autonomous technology, jointly developed vehicles, and advanced online shopping options. Hyundai CFO Seung Jo (Scott) Lee has confirmed a major investment of KRW 77.3 trillion (approximately ₹4.7 lakh crore) from 2026 to 2030, focused on R&D, future technologies, and manufacturing in the US.
