The company plans to establish a new plant in Tamil Nadu. The business and the state government have also reached an agreement on this. State CM MK Stalin, Industry Minister TRB Raja Tata Motors CFO VB Balaji and MD-CEO V Vishnu were also present during the MoU signed between the government and the company.
On signing the agreement with Tata Motors, state CM MK Stalin said the state has further strengthened its position as India's 'unrivalled' automobile hub. "In a historic move, Tata Motors has signed an MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu to set up a vehicle manufacturing facility, invest Rs nine thousand crore and create over five thousand jobs."

According to this, the company will work moving forward with the state for investment promotion and plants in the state. The company plans to invest Rs 9,000 crore in the next five years.
