Elon Musk scared of ChatGPT-5? Made serious allegations against Apple regarding the top rank
Elon Musk has accused Apple of discrimination in the App Store. He says that Apple is deliberately showing OpenAI's app ChatGPT on the first rank. He said that no company in the world will be able to leave ChatGPT behind. Musk said that he will soon take legal action against it.
The bitterness between Elon Musk and Sam Altman is well known. Since OpenAI introduced its new AI model GPT-5. He looks somewhat apprehensive. He has asserted that his firm's AI model Grok 4 is still superior to GPT 5. Along with this, he has leveled charges of discrimination against Apple as well. Musk claims that Apple promotes ChatGPT's app on the first page.
Elon Musk indicates that his firm xAI is set to pursue legal action shortly against such Apple discrimination. He accused Apple of preventing other businesses from reaching the summit of the Apple App Store except for ChatGPT.
Musk described it as a violation of antitrust and remarked that because of such acts of Apple, it is not possible for any AI firm to push OpenAI down from the number one position in the App Store.

News agency Reuters has quoted Sensor Tower data as saying that ChatGPT is the most popular app among iPhone users in the US. Grok, a model of Elon Musk's company xAI, is at the fifth position. At the same time, Google Gemini ranks 57th. Along with this, ChatGPT is also in the Must-Have Apps section in the Apple App Store.
There is a partnership between Apple and OpenAI, under which the company wants to integrate ChatGPT in iPhone, Mac and iPad. Along with this, the company is going to integrate Siri with ChatGPT with its iOS 26. Elon Musk is making such allegations citing this partnership between Apple and OpenAI.
Musk has posted on his social media platform X and asked Apple why they have not included X or Grok in the Must Have category. X is number one in news apps and Grok is ranked 5th in all other apps. Musk has accused Apple of playing politics.
Apple is facing various lawsuits all over the world for its App Store policies. If Musk also takes the legal route, Apple's problems may increase.
