Petrol, Diesel Prices Remain Unchanged Despite Crude Oil Drop; Commercial LPG Cylinder Cheaper by Over ₹200
Despite the drop in crude oil prices, petrol and diesel prices remain stable, while commercial LPG cylinders have become cheaper by more than ₹200.
Petrol, diesel, LPG, and CNG prices after the recent fall in international crude oil prices have been announced throughout the country. However, the prices of petrol and diesel have not come down as of yet.
In India, there are state-owned oil companies that update the prices of petrol and diesel daily at 6 am. At the moment, the crude oil price is less than $84 per barrel. This Monday, August 3, Brent crude and WTI fell. As of now, the Brent crude price is about $4 down to $83.74 per barrel.
Since the prices of petrol and diesel in India have not been revised, the following need to be noted that in Delhi, the petrol price is ₹102.12 per liter and diesel ₹95.20 per liter, while in Kolkata and Chennai, the petrol price is ₹113.05 per liter and diesel ₹97.80 per liter.
