Powerus Signs Drone Deal With Pakistan Army, Raising Questions Over India-US Defence Ties
Powers, a defense start-up linked to the Trump family, has signed a defense agreement with the Pakistani Army. This deal is raising questions about India-US relations and the balance of power in South Asia.
Recently, the new American defense start-up company called Powers signed an agreement with the Pakistani Army, receiving an initial order for unguided aerial systems.
Despite being one-year-old, Florida-based Powers company is creating several concerns regarding India-US strategic relationship and power balance in the South Asian region.
Powers uses Guardian, which is the advanced Ukrainian counter-drone technology designed during the Russia-Ukraine War. Surprisingly enough, Powers is operating in the Indian defense industry as well. In June, the Powers company's subsidiary company named Tandem Defence licensed the India company named Paras Defence and Space Technologies to produce Guardian-1 counter-drone interceptor in India.
