Bringing AI in drone technology will improve efficiency, information revealed in the survey
A recent survey conducted by NextGen Exhibition, the organizers of the Drone International Expo, has revealed that India's AI mission will greatly boost the growth of the Indian drone sector. The survey was conducted on more than 150 drone manufacturing and service-providing companies in 11 cities - Delhi Ghaziabad Noida Pune Hyderabad Bengaluru Ahmedabad Mumbai Chennai Gurugram and Coimbatore.
AI has consistently performed better in the last few months. In such a situation, it is being used in every field. At present, a new survey has revealed that the integration of AI with drone technology can enhance capabilities, efficiency, and operational intelligence such as autonomous navigation, real-time data processing, and advanced analysis.
According to a recent survey by Drone International Expo organizers NextGen Exhibition, India's AI mission will significantly accelerate the country's drone industry's growth.
In 11 cities—Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurugram, and Coimbatore—more than 150 drone manufacturing and service providers participated in the survey. In addition, it provided an overview of the current trends, obstacles, and prospects in the Indian drone industry, highlighting the country's potential to become a global leader in drone technology and innovation.
India AI Mission, an ambitious government initiative aimed at using artificial intelligence (AI) in various sectors, is set to become a major catalyst for the Indian drone industry.
The integration of AI with drone technology can enhance capabilities, efficiency, and operational intelligence such as autonomous navigation, real-time data processing, and advanced analysis, a statement said.
Adarsh Bansal, Director of Nexgen Exhibition, said in the statement that the survey highlighted the government's efforts to develop a strong domestic manufacturing ecosystem. India AI Mission and other favorable government policies are game changers for the Indian drone sector.
Bansal said that by promoting technological innovation and a supportive environment for domestic manufacturing, India is on its way to becoming a leader in the global drone market. Participating companies see the favorable policies in the last few years as a positive step towards self-reliance, which is expected to increase domestic manufacturing capabilities and create jobs within the sector.
The survey addressed the need for the Indian drone sector to focus on certain technological advancements to compete with global companies. The Drone International Expo 2024, to be held on July 4-5 in the national capital, is India's only dedicated and longest-running expo for drones, anti-drones, LiDAR, geospatial and unmanned systems (land and water), AI and other future technologies.
International manufacturers and world leaders of drones, anti-drone systems, drone components and software companies along with leading companies and startup brands from India are going to participate in the expo.
