Apart from comedy, when Sunil Grover was offered a multilayer role, 'Sonu' of 'Sunflower' increased his efforts
Along with the famous The Kapil Show fame, Sunil Grover has also tried his hand at films and web series. Where he played a character completely different from comedy and here too he impressed the audience. However, the actor believes that once an image is created in the film industry, it becomes difficult to break it.
Sunil Grover is a well-known actor in the The actor's comic timing is what makes him most famous. He has provided a great deal of entertainment for the audience as Doctor Gulati in Kapil Sharma's show. Sunil Grover has dabbled in film and web series in addition to television. He also made an impression on the audience when he played a character who was entirely unrelated to comedy. The actor does, however, think that once a reputation is established in the film industry, it is hard to shake.
Once an image is established in a genre, it is not easy for an artist to change that image. However, even after developing the image of a comedy actor, actor and comedian Sunil Grover managed to come out of it. His roles in the film 'Jawaan' and web series 'Sunflower' showed work different from comedy. Talking to Dainik Jagran about this, he says, "The credit goes to director Ali Abbas Zafar for making me do something different from comedy. He gave me a very different character in (the web series)."
He further said, "Then Vikas Bahl (showrunner) sir gave me the character of Sonu in Sunflower. It is a very multilayer character. It looked very simple, but was not so easy. It took me some time to understand it. Many Bar seems to be very innocent, but one has to take care of many things while playing the role, lest he gets carried away by emotions which are not his. Maintaining innocence and simplicity is a task in itself. Sunil is currently seen in The Great Indian Kapil Show.
