The merger process between Tata Group-owned Air India and Vistara has been completed. Now, Air India's focus would be to enhance its network. Air India says that it will deploy Vistara's A320 aircraft on five major metro-to-metro routes. These include routes like Delhi-Mumbai and Mumbai-Hyderabad. This would offer passengers traveling on those routes the same luxury as in Vistara.

Vistara's A320neo aircraft will be used for this. These aircraft will have 3 cabin classes, business, premium economy, and economy. Flights on all five routes will operate with Air India's AI flight number. Air India has also scheduled the timetable of the flights. This will provide maximum options and flexibility to air passengers.

Air India provides more than 100 weekly flights on these routes. This will include 56 daily flights between Delhi and Mumbai and 24 daily flights between Delhi and Hyderabad. Air India's new schedule will affect 5 metro-to-metro routes Delhi to Mumbai, Delhi to Bangalore, Delhi to Hyderabad, Mumbai to Bangalore, and Mumbai to Hyderabad.

According to Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD of Air India, the merger of Air India and Vistara will facilitate better facilities for our passengers. Passengers traveling on these routes will get a premium flight experience. He said, 'We will increase coverage gradually on more routes. Air India will add new aircraft by 2025 and our old fleet will be renewed.'

Tata Group's Air India and Vistara had merged on November 12. After this, all flights of Vistara- which offers a luxury traveling experience- are being operated under Air India. The booking of tickets is also being made from the website of Air India. Tickets of 2.7 lakh customers, who used to travel with Vistara, have been shifted to Air India. In the same way, its loyalty member programs have also been transferred to Maharaja Club.

Today, Air India is the only home-based airline flying both full-service and low-cost passenger services. Its share on international routes has increased to more than 50 percent.
