Large file sharing in WhatsApp has long been problematic. Although users of WhatsApp are still waiting for it, users of Telegram, WhatsApp's competitor app, may transfer files up to 2 GB.
It appears like Meta is now giving this issue some serious thought. There will be a new file-sharing feature added to WhatsApp, the report claims. With the release of this feature, WhatsApp users will have the same options for sharing huge files, HD images, and videos as they have with ShareIt and Android's Nearby.
According to the source, WhatsApp is testing this new function right now, but not even beta users have access to it. It will launch its updated version in a few days. After the update, users will be able to share files like Nearby Share.
