Vivo’s iQOO 15 Packs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 7,000mAh Battery, Color-Changing Design
The iQOO 15 is set to launch in China next month and will be the successor to last year's iQOO 13. The new flagship will come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 6.85-inch 2K display. The phone is available for pre-booking. Leaks suggest it could feature high-end features like a 7000mAh battery and 100W charging.
The iQOO 15 is scheduled to launch in China next month, following the launch of last year's iQOO 13. Ahead of the official launch, Vivo's sub-brand has confirmed that this smartphone will be one of the first phones to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Previous iQOO flagships also launched with Qualcomm's latest chipsets. The iQOO 15 has already been teased to feature a 6.85-inch 2K display. It is currently available for pre-booking in China.
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya gave a glimpse of the iQOO 15 in a post on Twitter (previously X) on Thursday. The post confirms that the phone will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm is based on a 2+6 core architecture, with two prime cores clocked at 4.6GHz and six performance cores clocked at 3.62GHz.
The company has already confirmed that the iQOO 15 will feature a 6.85-inch 2K 8T LTPO Samsung 'Everest' display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display will offer 6,000 nits of local peak brightness, 2,600 nits of full-screen brightness, and 3,200Hz instant touch response. The phone will also feature iQOO's in-house Q3 gaming chipset.
