Tata Motors has stated that the Nexon SUV has sold over 7 lakh units in the last seven years. Aside from that, since its premiere in 2017, Nexon has been India's best-selling SUV for three years in a row, from 2021 to 2023.

Nexon achieved a 5-star safety rating from the GNCAP crash test in 2018. This Tata SUV was the first car in India to do so. The greatly improved Nexon also received a 5-star GNCAP rating in February 2024 using the modified 2022 procedure. Recently, the Nexon EV received full marks from Bharat NCAP.

Available with different powertrains like petrol, diesel, and electric, the Nexon brand has strengthened its position over time. Tata Nexon has sold over 3 lakh units in the last two years (2022 and 2023). Let's take a look at its sales timeline.

  • The Nexon took 25 months to attain its first lakh sales milestone.
  • Tata sold 2 lakh Nexons over the next 20 months.
  • In March and October 2022, three and four lakh units were sold, respectively.
