Asian Karate Champion Alisha Chaudhary Left Out of Asian Games 2026 Squad, Appeals to IOA
Asian Games: Alisha Chaudhary, who won India's first Asian Karate Championship gold medal, is not included in the Asian Games longlist. The names of the karate and handball teams are also missing. Alisha has appealed to the IOA to send her to the Asian Games, promising to win medals for the country.
The Haryana karate player Alisha Chaudhary won the first gold medal in Asia's Karate Championship, but unfortunately, she will not participate in the Asian Games held in September. This is because the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has not included the name of Alisha along with other karate players in the list of participants in the Asian Games.
In Bali, Alisha won a gold medal for India in the 55 kg Kumite category on June 21. This was an unprecedented achievement by an Indian woman. But, sadly, Alisha could have been a medal-winning player for India at the Asian Games; however, her participation at the Asian Games is becoming difficult.
However, not only karate but also the handball players cannot participate in the Asian Games because their names have not been included in the long list of IOA. Alisha has appealed for sending her to the Asian Games to win medals for India.
