Palash Muchhal shared a note on his Instagram Story on Sunday, writing, "I have decided to move on with my life and step back from my personal relationship. This has been a very difficult time for me, as people were blindly believing baseless rumors that had no basis."

Palash added, "This relationship is very sacred to me, and burdening it with unverified rumors hurts deeply. As a society, we must be careful before jumping to conclusions about anyone; otherwise, our words leave wounds that can last forever."

He further wrote, "Many people in the world are grappling with much greater problems than this, and it is sad to waste energy on baseless accusations and gossip." At the end of the post, he stated, "My team will take legal action against those who are spreading false and defamatory information. I sincerely thank those who stood by me during this difficult time."

Cricketer Smriti Mandhana also shared a post on her Instagram Story. She posted, "There's been a lot of speculation about my life over the past few weeks, and I feel it's important for me to speak out at this time. I'm a very private person, and I'd like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding is canceled."

She further wrote, "I want to put this matter to rest here, and I request you all to do the same. I request you to respect both families' privacy at this time and give us time to move on."

Mandhana wrote, "I believe there's a greater purpose behind all of us, and for me, that has always been representing my country at the highest level. I hope to continue playing for India for as long as I can, winning trophies, and that will always remain my focus. Thank you all for your support. Now it's time to move on."

After the couple postponed their wedding on November 23rd, a storm of speculation erupted on social media. Claims of Palash's chats with other women initially went viral. The rumors spread, then the ex-girlfriend's name was mentioned, and later, rumors of a relationship with a wedding choreographer also began to circulate.

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana deleted all wedding-related photos from her Instagram account, further fueling the rumors. The families have yet to issue any official statements, but Palak Muchhal said that both families are going through a very difficult time and are just trying to stay positive. Meanwhile, Palash's new Instagram update has now emerged as the first official response.
