Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit India from 5 to 8 September. There is also a possibility of him going to Ajmer during this time. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has given this information about his visit. He said that in recent years the high level of engagement between the two countries has been maintained. The upcoming visit of Sheikh Hasina will further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

He said that high-level of contact between the two countries has increased in recent years. The two countries have historical and cultural ties, which are progressing in the spirit of mutual respect.

Bangladesh is facing an economic crisis

Bangladesh Prime Minister's visit to India comes at a time when Dhaka has approached the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to stabilize its foreign exchange reserves due to the global economic crisis. Earlier, officials had said that Bangladesh wanted talks for the India-Bangladesh Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to begin.

Earlier, Ajmer District Collector Anshdeep had told that Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina will be on the Ajmer tour on 8 September. Preparations are being made for this. There was a meeting between the Bangladeshi delegation and other administration officials including the Collector, in which many points were discussed regarding the preparations related to the yatra.

The security system is being tightened

Along with this, security arrangements have also been tightened in Ajmer Dargah. Special care is being taken that this visit of PM Sheikh Hasina remains peaceful. In view of this, the security of Ajmer Dargah was also reviewed. His visit was to be held in July, but now plans are being made for 6 to 7 September.

Let us tell you that this will be his first visit to Delhi since the beginning of the Corona epidemic. During this, she will be involved in talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian leaders. Also, Sheikh Hasina and PM Modi can jointly inaugurate the 'Freedom Road' from Bangladesh to India through virtual mode. The issue of trade, connectivity and defence relations between the two countries can also be discussed. Sheikh Hasina had earlier visited India in 2019.
