RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das discharged from hospital, was admitted after complaining of acidity

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has been discharged from the hospital. An RBI spokesperson informed the media that he is in good health. Das was earlier admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for monitoring.
The spokesperson had said this morning, "Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor, Reserve Bank of India complained of acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for monitoring. He is now doing well and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours. There is nothing to worry about."
Mr. Shaktikanta Das, former Secretary of the Department of Revenue and Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, took over as the 25th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India on December 12, 2018. In the earlier capacity, he was a member of the 15th Finance Commission and India's G20 Sherpa.
He has about four decades of experience in governance and has held important positions in the Central and State Governments in such areas as Finance, Taxation, Industry, and Infrastructure. He was closely involved with the preparation of eight Union Budgets presented during his tenure in the Ministry of Finance. Shaktikanta Das is a postgraduate from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi.
