Pro Kabaddi League Returns to Vizag After 7 Years, Season 12 Begins Aug 29

Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is set to be the most exciting and intense season yet. It will kick off in the vibrant port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The league is making a return here on August 29, India's National Sports Day, after a seven-year hiatus.

This season, PKL will feature the home favorites Telugu Titans facing off against Tamil Thalaivas, while the Bengaluru Bulls and Puneri Paltan will play the second match of the day at Vishwanath Sports Club in Visakhapatnam. To launch the new season, a grand event was held at Novotel, Varuna Beach. The celebration was attended by Mashal Business Head and Pro Kabaddi League Chairman Anupam Goswami, Telugu Titans captain Vijay Malik, Tamil Thalaivas captain Pawan Sehrawat, and the other 10 team captains.

During the event, Anupam Goswami, Business Head of Mashal and League Chairman, said, “We are excited to bring PKL back for another season – with a brand-new format designed to bring fans even closer to the action. Every match will matter more, increasing the intensity of this season as the league makes its highly anticipated return to Visakhapatnam. We will also celebrate our National Sports Day tomorrow, honoring legendary athletes, and it’s very exciting to start this edition on such an auspicious day.”
