President Droupadi Murmu is on a three-day visit to Uttarakhand. On this, on her birthday on Friday, when she turned 67, she was a part of a programme and was overcome with emotions when listening to a birthday congratulatory song. Actually, during her visit, Murmu had paid a visit to the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), where some visually impaired kids had sung a birthday song for her. As she was listening to the birthday song sung by the kids, tears appeared in the eyes of the President, whose video is becoming quite viral over social media.

President Murmu said, these children were singing very beautifully and were singing from their heart. I could not stop my tears after listening to their song. He further said, the talent of the group has confirmed his view that children with disabilities have some special abilities. The President encouraged the children to move forward with confidence and said that their success is certain.

Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd), who was present at the event, told the children, the country is going through a phase of transformation, and we are moving rapidly towards achieving the vision of a strong India by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. You are an integral part of this journey of nation-building.

The President reached Uttarakhand on Thursday, and during her visit, she will inaugurate Rashtrapati Niketan. She will also lay the foundation stone of Rashtrapati Park and release a book on the biodiversity of Rashtrapati Niketan. On Saturday, the President will return to Delhi after attending a program of the state government on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
