EPFO Launches Aadhaar-Based Portal to Help Employees Find Old PF Accounts and Unclaimed EPF Funds
EPFO Aadhaar Authentication Portal: EPFO's new Aadhaar-based digital portal will help employees locate old and inactive PF accounts. This will make it easier to link old account balances to their current UAN.
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced an Aadhaar-based online portal. It aims to help employees locate their old or dormant PF accounts. Many employees, who changed jobs prior to 2014, had opened multiple PF accounts; however, there are no records of them. This portal can help employees locate their old EPF accounts and transfer funds to their existing accounts.
The Aadhaar-based EPFO portal is already operational, but the organization has not declared any date of launch or details about the website address or documents required to use this portal. Once launched, this feature could simplify the process of locating old PF accounts.
