NSE launches new mobile app and multilingual website, decision to boost investor participation

On the occasion of Diwali, the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) expanded its corporate website, www.nseindia.com, to support eleven regional languages and launched its official mobile app, NSEIndia. According to NSE, the launch symbolizes NSE's dedication to democratizing financial information. Which makes it easier for investors across the country to connect to India's capital markets.
Therefore, with this new initiative, the NSE website would grant access to its contents in twelve languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu, in addition to the already available English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati, thereby achieving a wider reach to investors across the length and breadth of the country without any barriers of language and region, hence increasing engagement and inclusiveness. The newly launched NSEIndia mobile app, now available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, is designed to ensure a seamless and secure investor experience.
Key highlights that one may find in the first phase of the release include an overview of all various indices, snapshots of markets, market trends, and turnover. A quick summary of Nifty 50 top gainers, losers and most active stocks, quick search for stocks along with a personalized watchlist facility. There is undisturbed access to options trading data-including active calls, puts, and open interest-for investors.
