PCB played a big bet to call India to Pakistan for Champions Trophy, gave a special offer to Indian fans
PCB is adopting every trick to call the Indian team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi has now assured to provide quick visas to Indian fans coming to Pakistan to watch the match.
Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a government minister, is adopting every trick he can to get the Indian team to come to Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. He occasionally discusses planning all of India's matches in Lahore as well as calls for Team India to go on a tour of Pakistan in order to promote the sport, but the BCCI has made it clear that the team will not go on a tour of Pakistan without the Indian government's permission. Naqvi has now promised to give Indian supporters traveling to Pakistan to watch the match quick visas. He said this when interacting with American Sikh pilgrims.
Naqvi added that the board is hoping their Indian cricket fans will come in massive numbers to watch the Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Pakistan. He invites Indian fans to come and see the matches between the two countries in Lahore. A report by him quotes that a special quota of tickets will be kept for the Indian fans, and all necessary steps will be taken to facilitate them with visas soon.
ICC has not announced the schedule of the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in February-March 2025. Mainly, ICC is waiting for confirmation from the Indian Government as to whether Team India is going to tour Pakistan to take part in that respective tournament or not. Still, PCB is trying every trick.
