UPI Tap & Pay Works With NFC Phones, Demat 2.0 to Enable Tokenised Corporate Bond Transactions

You do not have to input your UPI ID and scan the QR code in order to make payment via UPI. Tap & Pay service has been introduced by UPI on the second day of the ongoing Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai.

Now users can make instant payments using their NFC enabled smart phone simply by tapping it to an NFC enabled POS terminal.

Tap & Pay service was launched by RBI governor Sanjay Malhotra. NPCI which runs UPI claims that its Tap & Pay service works even in places where there is no internet facility.
