Congress Alleges ‘Democratic Theft’ After Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha Nomination Rejected

The Congress has intensified its political battle after the rejection of its nominee for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh, Meenakshi Natarajan.

Describing the act as an ignominy to democracy, the party, along with its leaders and MLAs from Madhya Pradesh, filed a protest against the Election Commission on Friday and also attempted to meet President Draupadi Murmu, but failed to do so.

The Congress has stated that the Election Commission is choking the democratic process and alleged that the ruling BJP and the Election Commission have together rigged the Rajya Sabha polls.
