Sarma pointed out that donations to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund have continued to arrive from individuals, organisations and institutions across different sections of society since the floods caused widespread devastation in several districts. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency, he assured contributors that every rupee received would be utilised responsibly for relief, rehabilitation and rebuilding the lives of those affected.

He also conveyed appreciation to the Adani Group for its support to the people of Assam during the crisis.

Assam has experienced extensive flooding in recent weeks, with thousands of people displaced and significant damage reported to homes, roads, embankments, agricultural land and public infrastructure across multiple districts. The contribution forms part of the broader inflow of assistance directed towards the state’s relief and recovery efforts.
